Klaus Mäkelä's debut album "Sibelius" was awarded both the Edison Klassiek 2022 for Best Debut Album (Netherlands) and the Choc de l'année 2022 by Classica magazine (France), received 5-star ratings from Limelight Magazine (Australia), Rondo Magazine (Germany) and BBC Music Magazine (UK), and multiple outstanding reviews: "An extremely promising debut" (Gramophone, Editor's Choice), "This performance is stunningly successful" (The Times), "Finn Mäkelä . .. Must be an original genius." (Rondo) are just a few examples. The young conductor now presents a promising first release with the Orchestre de Paris, of which he is the new music director: two iconic 20th-century works, "Le Sacre du Printemps" and "L'Oiseau de feu, ballet intégral" by Igor Stravinsky showcase the orchestra's unique sonority under Mäkelä's baton. "A riveting performance of kaleidoscopic brilliance and whiplash-like energy" (Chicago Classical Review).
