    Release date: September 12, 2025

Following the success of the first 10 albums in Hyperion’s Vinyl Edition (released in September 2024 and March 2025), six further LPs are announced today. All the albums are new to vinyl and feature globally touring artists with whom the label has enjoyed close, long-standing associations. Each of the six titles will be released as limited-edition 180gsm LPs, presented in full-colour gatefolds and including sleeve notes.
The Gramophone critic expected ‘extraordinary things’ of Marc-André Hamelin in CPE Bach’s Sonatas & Rondos. It’s safe to say her instincts were proved correct: ‘In short, I cannot think of a better introduction to CPE Bach on the modern piano’. This is a 2LP set.
‘A performer of near-superhuman technical prowess’ (The New York Times), pianist Marc-André Hamelin is known worldwide for his unrivalled blend of consummate musicianship and brilliant technique in the great works of the established repertoire, as well as for his intrepid exploration of the rarities of the nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first centuries—in concert and on recordings—earning his place as a true icon of the piano.
