Braveheart celebrates the 30th anniversary of its iconic film score this year. Marking the occasion, one of James Horner’s most critically acclaimed works returns in a special anniversary release: a limited blue streak vinyl edition featuring some of his most haunting melodies. The soundtrack to Mel Gibson’s 1995 tale has been honoured with multiple Oscars and was also nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe. Horner's stirring score transports us back to the 13th century, drawing heavily on Celtic/Scottish influences to create a melancholic and emotional soundtrack, featuring bagpipes, atmospheric flutes, bodhran drums, orchestra, and a spine-tingling boys’ choir.
