I MUSICI The Philips Legacy: Complete Analogue Recordings
In the genre of baroque music, there are not many ensembles that can look back on a career similar to that of "I Musici", which began a successful recording history in 1952. For many years they recorded exclusively for Philips: This edition brings together all those recordings on 83 CDs. Their repertoire includes the most famous works by Vivaldi, Locatelli, Bach, Mozart Tartini, Haydn, Handel and many other baroque composers. Arturo Toscanini did not call them "the best chamber orchestra in the world" for no reason. Just in time for the 70th anniversary, the "Complete Analogue Recordings" are released in a limited 83-CD box with a 168-page booklet and a new essay by Nicholas Anderson. 26 recordings can even be heard on CD for the first time. The sleeve covers are presented in the original artwork of the release at the time.
