Grammy Award-winning composer Eric Whitacre and the acclaimed vocal ensemble VOCES8 unite in majestic harmony for this release on Decca Classics. Their album includes a world premiere, "All Seems Beautiful To Me," and a new recording of Whitacre's deeply moving cantata, "The Sacred Veil." "All Seems Beautiful To Me" is based on a poem by Walt Whitman that celebrates the human spirit's capacity for generosity and growth. Also included is a new recording of one of Whitacre's most performed and beloved pieces, "The Seal Lullaby." The album also includes "Sing Gently and Go" and "Lovely Rose." The latter was Whitacre's very first composition, written 30 years ago, so the new album is also in part a celebration of his three decades as a composer. "Their sound is glassy and pure, like honey flung," Eric says of the British a cappella ensemble VOCES8. "The chance to have my music brought to life by these musicians is everything I could have ever hoped for, and indeed, it's what I've always dreamed it would sound like."
