Alice Sara Ott is releasing a deluxe version of her tenth album on Deutsche Grammophon. In addition to Frédéric Chopin's 24 Préludes, the repertoire of "Echoes Of Life" includes seven contemporary works by various composers, including a piece written by Francesco Tristano especially for the album, as well as a composition by Alice Sara Ott herself, based on Mozart's Lacrimosa. With these seven compositions from the 20th and 21st centuries, the pianist places the piano cycle in a contemporary context - behind each of the seven "Interludes" lies an autobiographical moment of Ott, documented in detail and personally in the album booklet. In addition to the works on the original album, eleven new recordings complete the Echoes Of Life story.
